ISLAMABAD: Well placed sources revealed to Islamabad Telegraph on that six properties in UK which Justics Qazi Faez Isa mentioned in his application to country’s Apex Court, do not belong to Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi. Rather, they are owned by a British national Mr. Imran Ali Khan Niazi.
” Properties mentioned by Justice Qazi Faez Isa in his petition to the Supreme Court actually belongs to Imran Ali Khan Niazi, a 37 years old British national. Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi is nothing to do with them,” a source revealed to Islamabad Telegraph.
Also, a research done by this correspondent revealed, properties in question were registered in the name of Imran Ali Khan Niazi.
Dropping bomb shell on Tuesday, Justice Qazi Faez Isa alleged that his search discovered a number of properties in London in the name of Assets Recovery Unit’s (ARU) chairman Mirza Shahzad Akbar, Imran Khan, and former president retired Gen Pervez Musharraf.
According to Dawn, in an application submitted to the Supreme Court, the petitioner judge told it that he took a cue from the ARU chairman’s claim that properties in the United Kingdom could be searched by anyone by using the search engine 192.com. The application said the search engine was used to find out the properties of a few known public figures. The search result suggested that Shahzad Akbar owned five properties in the UK, former special assistant to the prime minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan owned one, Zulfikar Bukhari seven, Mohammad Usman Dar three, Imran Khan Niazi six, Jehangir Khan Tareen one and Pervez Musharraf two properties in the UK.
